jonathan frazen

I have found a new author, Jonathan Franzen. He wrote Freedom which shows readers an unforgettable middle class American family. An earlier book is called The Corrections. It showcased a contemporary American family making their way through the materialistic 1990s.

He is a gifted writer who sheds light on ordinary people and familiar times, but the books are very long.

Now, my book club is reading, The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton. It is my turn to do the review. I love Edith Wharton and am fascinated by her life and her writings so it will be fun to talk about her.

Louise (Dec. ’10) adds, “Last October, because of the 50th Anniversary of To Kill a Mockingbird, we reviewed and read that book.”
