HORNET FLIGHT

This non-fiction book by Ken Follett is set in WWII German-occupied Denmark.

It tells the story of two Danish pilots who, at the risk of their lives, worked with the Resistance movement.

Operating in secret, they passed vital information to operatives inEnglandabout new German radar technology and its capability to detect Royal Air Force bombing raids.

When their contact man inDenmarkwas killed, they were desperate to get film of the new radar installation to their counterparts inEngland. Through the help of a friend, they discovered an old Hornet Moth biplane.

Endangering their own lives, they carefully repaired it. With the radar film, the two men flew the Moth toEngland.
