ANOTHER OPEN DOOR

ANOTHER OPEN DOOR

Continuing our 2014 Self-Discovery Game from Kokology 2, Malaina (Feb. ‘14) takes option number three. She says,  “Inside, sweeping is the choice I picked. Don’t know why, except that the neighborhood I envisioned was too peaceful for any burglary to occur. The door wasn’t shut, and the house wasn’t closed off.  So…, the owner had to be inside, doing something!”

About this choice, authors Tadahiko Nagao and Isamo Saito say, “You aren’t the type to get carried away in crisis situations. On the contrary, you’re so relaxed that you may not notice a crisis is occurring at all. The mistakes you make are caused more by oversight than bad intentions, but the end results for you (and the people around you) are the same.”

Malaina compares her thoughts about herself to the author’s projections.  She says, “I guess my mistakes are mostly from oversight. I don’t intentionally go and make them. I do know that when a crisis develops, I would prefer to step back and /or away and hope (and, yes, sometimes this works, but not always) that the crisis will ‘heal’ itself.”

Malaina describes her scene, “The wood floor of the porch leads into a warm kitchen with terra cotta tile floor and an old wood-burning cook stove against the opposite wall. The porch pot is full of herbs and the window box has flowering vines.  Though the door is open, there’s a door-bell pull on the frame –mostly so a visitor will announce themselves before they walk in and not startle me.”
